We partner with our Amish neighbors in Central Kentucky to offer fresh, farm-grown pork products.
Why choose farm-raised pork?
Of course pasture grazing is a more humane way to raise an animal, but pasture grazing is also better for you!
Farm-raised pork has lower levels of omega 6:3 fatty acids, twice the amount of vitamin E, and greater amounts of selenium than commercially-raised pork. It also has as much as three times the vitamin D of conventionally-raised pigs.
Raising pork in a pasture environment is more gentle on the earth, as waste is distributed and becomes a beneficial fertilizer for the land, rather than pooling to pollute a single area.
Finally, hogs raised on pasture rarely, if ever, need antibiotics. In a world where antibiotic resistance is becoming a threat to human health, this healthier way of raising hogs is better for all of us!

Pasture-raised chicken is higher in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). These nutrients play an important role in maintaining heart health, reducing inflammation, and improving overall well-being.
Just as important, pasture-raised chicken tastes better! Chefs say it has a more complex and distinctive, richer flavor than conventionally raised birds.
